James Moore

Hudson- Mr. James Anthony Moore, age 57 passed away at his residence on Tuesday, May 10, 2016.  He was born in Pulaski, VA on March 5, 1959 to the late James and Helen Cook Moore.  He is also preceded in death by his father and mother in law, Bob and Billie Dalton.  He is also preceded in death by one son Jason Bradley who was a United States Marine.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Susan Dalton Moore of the home.  He is survived by his daughter Linda Moore Knollmeyer and husband Clark.  He also has two brothers, Frank Moore and Doug Moore and wife Melissa. 

He had many hobbies in life, he was a champion car enthusiast having won multiple awards for his restoration work and loved to ride motorcycles.  He was the Vice President of the the Sons of Soldiers- Blue Ridge Chapter.  He also loved to read his Bible and was a wonderful friend, father, husband and an all around great man.  He never met a stranger. 

A memorial service for Mr. Moore’s life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Evans Funeral Service Chapel.  Reverend Nicky Watters and Ken Atkins officiating.

The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM.

Flowers are appreciated or memorials can be made to Sons of Soldiers Blue Ridge Chapter, P.O. Box 1181, Hudson, North Carolina 28638.

In the 7th grade the thought we ruled the world! We found out we didn't when we got to the 8th. Great times we had a Draper elem. I'm going to miss Jimmy we had a lot of fun together.

Time has went by so fast. We were a tight group all through school. Jimmy was a good friend and he will be missed. Thanks Babara for the pictures.
