DAYTON, Ohio—Ricky Dean Davidson, 36, of Vandalia, Ohio and formerly of Hiwassee, passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 1996 at Grandview Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. Born on Jan. 10, 1960 in Radford, he is the son of Charlie Davidson and Agnes Taylor Quesenberry. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Bruce and Lattie Taylor; Charlie and Ruby Davidson and Alfred and Lillian Quesenberry. He is a 1978 graduate of Pulaski County High School, a member of the Vandalia Baptist Temple, Vandalia, OH, and a construction worker for C&M Insulation, Vandalia. He was also a veteran, having served with the U.S. Marine Corps. Surviving are his parents, Agnes Taylor Quesenberry and Alfred Quesenberry of Hiwassee; Charlie Davidson and Willa Mae Davidson, Vandalia, OH; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy D. and Terry Covey of Lima, OH; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Jeannie Quesenberry of Radford; step-brothers and wives, Larry D. and Patricia Sowders of Vandalia, and Paul D. and Carol Sowders of Jacksonville, FL; nieces, Cindy and Amy Covey of Lima, OH. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor Michael Coleman and Pastor Robert Marshall officiating. Interment will follow in Cecil's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hiwassee. Visiting will be anytime today, with the family receiving friends from 7-9 p.m. at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bob White Boulevard, Pulaski. Full military honors will be conducted at the graveside by the Pulaski VFW Post #1184. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, is in charge of arrangements.

I didn't have a class with Ricky, but we kind of knew each other from hanging around the same crowd in the mornings and at lunch.

I had a 2 or 3 classes with Ricky our first couple of years in high school but the one that I remember best is Mrs. Sutherland's 10th grade english class. Ricky had a sharp wit and made class a lot of fun.
